FC Apatride Utd The «Football Club Apatride» (Stateless Football Club) was born in a ravaged country. They demonstrate that reggae music is still a rebellious means of expression. This Marxist, Muslim and Serbian Football Club is anything but a mainstream product. Their sharp uncompromising reggae reminds us of some UK Jamaican bands of the early 80’s, when reggae had a strong rock touch and catchy melodies. This militant trio achieved a remarkable success with their musical identity and uncompromising attitude and was therefore signed by a Parisian reggae label “Makasound” for whom they already released two albums,: “On the frontline menu”(2006) and “Them”(2007). Noticed by some American labels (Lustre Kings, Black Mind Records),the band is currently recording 7”inch singles to be released and heard across the Atlantic.

Dub Tentacles

Since the early days of the label, Fresh Poulp wishes to produce and release a 100% dub compilation. To be part of a planetary dub adventure by presenting an active and international (South America, North Africa, Middle-East, Asia, North America & Europe) display of this vast musical community. This is now done with “Dub Tentacles”, the first release in a long series of thematic compilations dedicated to dub music. This first one features a special track from Dubosmium (probably one of the most famous artist from our netlabel) with JSD, singer from Dubzoic (an italian band also part of the album – and future member of Fresh Poulp). Dub Tentacles is a true invitation to travel through music : With enjoyable stops in Brasil, South Korea or Turkey and unexpected calls in Israel, USA, Portugal and even Poland, you’ll finish the journey 11 station later in France, with Le Chaudron Magique.

Following the widespread critical and commercial success of 2003’s Dub Side of the Moon and 2006’s Radiodread, Easy Star Records announces the Easy Star All-Stars’ complete reggae re-imagining of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The album, titled Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band, is set for release April 14 on Easy Star Records and features guest vocals from an impressive list of reggae, dancehall and dub greats including Steel Pulse, Matisyahu, Michael Rose (Black Uhuru), Luciano, U Roy, Bunny Rugs (Third World), Ranking Roger (English Beat), Sugar Minott, Frankie Paul, Max Romeo and The Mighty Diamonds. The first single, “With A Little Help From My Friends,” featuring Luciano, will be released as an iTunes exclusive February 10. It will be paired with a b-side dub version featuring the legendary U Roy.
Dub Side of the Moon, (Easy Star’s reggae tribute to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon) is one of the most successful reggae albums of the 21st century and spent over five years on Billboard’s Top Reggae Chart. Mojo selected the record as the second greatest cover album of all time. Radiodread, which tackled Radiohead’s OK Computer, spent over 18 months on Billboard’s Top Reggae Chart and earned praise from Radiohead themselves.
Of the decision to infuse reggae into the Beatles classic, producer Michael Goldwasser says “We’ve focused on re-envisioning concept albums as reggae and it’s really important that the source material works as a whole and is not just a collection of songs. So, what better to take on next than the mother of all concept albums?”
Goldwasser is once more the musical mastermind behind this album, having arranged and produced the music, assembled the musicians and guest artists and played guitar throughout. Goldwasser is joined by Victor Rice (bass), Victor “Ticklah” Axelrod (keyboards) and Patrick Dougher & Eddie Ocampo (drums, percussion). Members of the touring version of the Easy Star All-Stars also contribute, including Ras I Ray, Jenny Hill, Buford O’Sullivan, Ivan Katz, Kirsty Rock, Tamar-kali, Junior Jazz and Menny More. In addition to producing six albums for Easy Star, Goldwasser has produced albums for Corey Harris, Hatikva 6 and others, and has had compositions featured in the motion pictures Failure To Launch and Woody Allen’s Cassandra’s Dream.

High Tone - Dub invaders

As it gives us the habit, the French band High Tone repeats experiences after experiences. It end of the year 2008, it was with the “dub box” proposed under 4 vinyl’s, before some split albums or remix albums.
This time, the new project of High Tone is a new album of 12 tracks with the particularity the music is not signed by the band but by the members of the band.
Actually, for “dub invaders”, every musician of High Tone has realised two or three tracks as solo producer. In this fact, it does of “dub invaders” a very rich album in different styles of dub music. An album which combines mainly steppa, electro-dub and dubstep.
A mini-tour will follow the publication too. A tour presented inna sound system style with two different sounds: the sound systems of OBF and Dub Addict. Probably, two of the bigger sound system of France.
Unfortunatly, this tour is reserved to the French audience. By the way, I send a big big-up to all my friends of “Sainté” who are lucky to be able to see High Tone like that the 11 of April (Avatarium, puit Couriot) for a big party.
For the waiting time, the album is in free listening (in low quality) on a website especially dedicated to this new production.

Radikal dub kolektiv - Bass Matters

Radikal dub kolektiv was formed in 2002.and is based on d.i.y. underground ethics. It consists today of; Vanja – keys, Jadranko – guitar, Vrki – bass, Vedran – drums and Damir – sound.
On the first album (2004), we started to create a sound with our combination of dub, reggae, ska, punkrock and trance/ambient sounds. The material on ‘Bass Matters’ represents the beginning of an new era for the band, when we concentrated on playing and producing live, upbeat dub music. Even though some of these songs are already 2 years old, this is the first release of studio recordings of them, and we think they still contain new energy. Since our first album was released, we lost almost half of the band; due to maternity, personal issues, differing attitudes and death!
Despite all this we somehow managed to almost continually play shows including a couple of European tours, and a good number of one off shows.
We will be touring hard for the foreseeable future also.
Members of the Kolektiv were and still are involved in many different activities; such as playing with other bands (Abrakha-dub-r, Bijes zdravog razuma, Bilk, Drotweiler, Motus, Nula, Radikalna promjena, and others), music publishing and distribution through labels:like Humanita Nova, Zvuk Mocvare, and Kingston, party and event promotion
RDK SOUNDSYSTEM, also plays and composes music; playing with a live digital dub mix.
Alongside the music we all want and work for this world to be a better place. Yeah. Rispekt.

-Band SOPOT has played on many festivals and concert halls across the Balkans and Europe and share stage with artists like : Kultur Shock(USA), Visionary undergrunde(UK), Dr.DAS(UK), HORNSMAN COYOTE(SRB), Princ Alla(Jamaica), UK SUBS(UK), WATCHA CLAN(FR), Filastine(USA), Terracota(Portugal), HIGH TONE(FR) and many other on festivals like: RIDDIM COLLISION - LYON(FR), ReggaeriversplashSOCA-Tolmin(SLO), EXIT festival Novi Sad(SRB), FILM Festivals in Belgrade(SRB), Zagreb(CRO), Mostar(BiH), Seasplash - Pula(CRO) and other.
-Band SOPOT was recognized from many colleges and union of artists as one of the most perspective artists in BiH.
- SOPOT was involved in composing music for the National Theatre RS from Banja Luka for play called “Balloone of Stone” performed by big number of actors from National theatre.
